A stunning new twist on an old-fashioned houseplant favourite. The beautiful red-tinted foliage adds a great colour accent in addition to the health benefits that living plants bring to the indoors. Allowing soil to dry a bit before watering, especially in winter, will keep the Red Aglaonema at its healthiest. Be weary of overwatering with this plant as it can be prone to root rot. This plant prefers bright diffused light, however some varieties can tolerate lower light levels and even fluorescent lighting conditions. Be sure to keep them away from drafts.
Rotate your plant periodically to ensure even growth on all sides and dust the leaves often so the plant can photosynthesize efficiently. This is especially important if the plant is in a lower light location, as the plant’s ability to photosynthesize is decreased in lower-light conditions. When dusting the leaves, also take the opportunity to inspect the undersides and keep an eye out for pests.
